Hi there!
I titled this Blog steak for breakfast, because I expect a lot of what I post here will give you something to chew on all day long. I am trusting the Lord to give us some delicious “meals” that will satisfy and nourish us both, as I write and you read this. So many times, He teaches me by the words coming out of my own mouth and off of my own fingers, so know I’m here learning right beside you. I believe some of the first entries here are going to be sharing with you some about my life and journey with God, and the things He has taught me along the way.
As you’ll see quickly, my walk with God is heavy on relationship and light on religion. I grew up in a household that knew of God, but didn’t really know Him. So when I cried out to God in hopeless despair, and He came, picked me up, told me He loved me, and would never leave me nor forsake me, it was a real shake up for me and my family. As I grew in Him, learned and followed his ways, and became as Christ like as a teenage girl wants to become, even my family had to say there was something different about me. It wasn’t long after the Lord saved me that He baptised me in His Holy Spirit, and I began flowing in the gifts of the spirit. Today, words of wisdom, knowledge and prophecy are prevalent in my life, so don’t be shocked if you get to experience them even here in this blog. I’m sure we will talk more about Holy Spirit as we get going, He is one of my favorite topics!
I believe the first few blogs here will be parts of the story of my journey with the Lord. One of the first things He taught me to do was forgive. I find this to be one of the key building blocks of healing from life in the world and of drawing close to God. I will also share my testimony with you, and other stories of what God’s done in my life, and the things He has taught me along the way. Beyond that, we’ll talk on whatever the Lord shows me to cover, so I’m expecting this to be awesome! I am hoping to post once a week, likely Sunday afternoons, but we’ll see what happens.
So for now, have a great day folks! Don’t forget to check out Pastor Ron’s blog as well!
